Verison Cell Phone Wanted

High Friends!  This may sound simple, but my cell phone is "coughing" and Verison has told me that if I have my last phone, they can re program it for my use.  I recently gave all my old cells charity for use by the terribly needy.  (go figure...I don't usually get rid of anything!)  Sooo...I'm looking for a good old reliable Verison phone no one needs anymore for my use.  Thanks for all your consideration!!!     Sue Rottkamp   253 735 9693

Urine Test

THE JOB - URINE TEST

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job.
I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.? Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.? I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their rear, doing drugs, while I work. . .

Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?? Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though . . Something has to change in this country -- and soon.

Jo Ann Soulter

Souter Joanne A great day... each day she is better... real progress... her speech now is 99.999% perfect.

Stitches come out tomorrow... Dr. came in and they talked about the radiation program they are working up

for her... six weeks of daily radiation treatments and most likely some chemo after that...

She is in rehab now and they are talking about her going home "next weekend"

She is walking, going up/down stairs alone - with someone hovering right next to her... her spirits are great

Each morning when I come in I can see an improvement from the day before........

Thank you for your concern and the Prayers.... it helped... and will help.

Jane Bigelo

UPDATE 08/20

They released Jo from the hospital this afternoon - got her home and seeing her and the reunion with the two cats and Chloe was something else... do not let anyone ever tell you pets do not miss their humans and

are glad to see them return...

Other than being tired/sleepy she is doing just fine - taking medication and one needs a sharp mind to keep up with what to take, and when... whew...

Her radiation/chemo will be set up in a few days and will run every day for six weeks to start... the chemo may be once a month for a while after that... the "smart people" make those decisions.  The good news is

all of this will be done at a Va Mason Facility relatively close to home and easier to get to than the hospital where she was for 12 long days.  She will also be getting more speech and occupational therapy on an out patient basis.

Thank you for all of your prayers, phone calls and e notes of concern... it really means a lot during times

like this to know there are so many dear friends out there that care.

Brenda Houston Memorial Book

Julie Hamilton Passed on this link to me. It is a Memorial Book for Brenda. There are some very interesting notes. Especially one from Molly Flanagan brought tears to our eyes. Not only for Brenda herself but also reminded us of the wonderful friends and experiences we had while flying the Shuttle where we met and flew with these great people.
