We love having the deer around. I feed them most mornings and there are usually several waiting when I get up wanting their breakfast. As soon as I shake the corn container, they come a runnin'! This morning I counted 14 in our back yard. The only bad thing about it is that you have to make a choice between having flowers/ nice shrubs or deer. You can't have both. I'm not real fond of fire ants and scorpions any way!

Happy New Year
I want to wish everyone Happy New Year and share our New Year Eve tradition. It is to go on a Volksmarch. This year is was through downtown Seattle. We started on lower Queen Anne, walked down to the waterfront around waterfront park and the new sculpture park. Then on to Pioneer Square and back along 5th Ave near the convention center and back to Queen Anne. Then we all (11) went to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner. Downtown was beautiful with all the lights and window shopping. The walk is 10k (6 miles). It was a beautiful evening, cool & crisp. So much fun.
These walks are all over the state of Wa and worldwide. They take place every weekend. Some of the upcoming walks are the Cle Elum Slip and Slide Jan 12-13, Leavenworth Snowshoe Walk on Jan 19th, Upper Skagit Valley Bald Eagle Fest Walk Jan 26-27,Annual Northwest Trek Walk Feb 2-3 and a Valentine Walk on Feb 9th in Redmond. Web site is www.ava.org/. Check them out. Comfortable shoes is all you need. And they are free.
Wishing you a happy and healthy new year.

cushy job
I went to re-read the cushy job article, http.//jobs.aol.com/gallery/cushy-jobs I was pleasantly suprised to see flight attendants were no longer on the list!!
I have not seen any articles though, that explains why, or an apology. Have any of you??
I emailed Ms. Lorenz, requesting her to set the record straight!! Kate.Lorenz@careerbuilders.com
