Kate's first boat ride

It was such a beautiful day in TX today, we decided to take the boat out. Kate was all excited to go, but got a little nervous when the life jacket went on. Once we took off though, she loved the air blowing in her face. It wasn't too long before she started looking for some shade! Her life jacket was given to us by a FC psgr. Ken met while traveling on a pass.

Baby Ducks 2008

Just like clockwork. The 3 week in April normally brings us our First baby duck sighting. Last year they did not show till May. Every year I take and time stamp a picture of this spring event.

Flight Attendant Day at the Museum of Flight... May 17

Hi everyone... I received the following from the Museum of Flight and thought some of you might be interested in their special celebration for Flight Attendants on Saturday, May 17.
This is of course in addition to our planned Luncheon there on Thursday, May 15!!!! I hope I'll see many of you at the Luncheon.
Karen DelG

Attention All Flight Attendants!
You are Cordially Invited to
Flight Attendant Day At The Museum of Flight in Seattle
Free admission and special programs
for flight attendants on Saturday, May 17!

In 1930, Boeing Air Transport hired eight nurses as “stewardesses” to add a sense of safety to concerned passengers. On May 15 that year, Ellen Church made the first flight as a stewardess between San Francisco and Chicago.

In honor of 78 years of flight attendant service, Saturday, May 17, 2008 is Flight Attendant Day at The Museum of Flight! Admission to the Museum is free for former and current flight attendants all day—just show us your wings or airline-issued identification at the ticket counter!
Wearing your uniform is okay too!

Style in the Aisle
This may be your last opportunity to see the Museum’s fun and popular exhibit about flight attendant history and fashions, Style in the Aisle, which closes June 2. For more info: http://www.museumofflight.org/Display.asp?Page=styleaisle

At 2 p.m. reminisce in the William M. Allen Theater during the Style in the Aisle Panel Discussion. In conjunction with the Style in the Aisle exhibit, the Museum will host a panel of flight attendants who did this glamorous and dangerous job during the golden age of commercial aviation.
Audience Q & A follows the discussion. Let’s hear your stories!

Group Photo Everyone!
After the panel discussion—about 3:30 p.m.—all of the flight attendants in attendance are encouraged to meet outside of Museum’s west entrance for a group photo.
We hope to have a gathering large enough to set a Guinness record! Yes!

Even if you have already been to the Museum recently to see Style in the Aisle, please come and enjoy the panel discussion, chat with colleagues, pose for a photo and let us personally thank you for being there for us on every flight!

If you need further information you can contact Ted Huetter, PR Manager, at 206-768-7105 or Tara Cashman, PR Assistant, at 206-768-7128.
Please forward this invitation to anyone you think would be interested.
Looking forward to seeing you!

While the day is free for flight attendants, your family, friends and guests will need to pay the regular admission. SorryL

Video of Scarlett

This is a video of my granddaughter, Scarlett. She's been doing this for several months and we all think she's very smart! I wanted to share it with you not only because of her talents, but don't you think it's entertaining to see the way Trevor edited the video?

It's not very long, so turn up the volume and enjoy! To start the video, just click on the large picture of Trevor and Scarlett. He also made a comment below the screen.
