Sugar-Scoop Cap

With regard to the Museum of Flight collectibles show....I am looking for a 1960's vintage sugar-scoop cap...winter, not summer. If anyone sees one there, or is willing to let theirs go, please get in touch with me.  (The mice got to mine and I desperately wish to replace it.) I am unable to go to the collectible show on the 11 th, so I need my jumpseat sisters to keep their eyes open for me!
Thanks, Judy Puckett Twinll@aol.com

707's 50th

October 11Th is going to be a VERY SPECIAL day at the Museum of Flight. Please share this with all your airline friends.

Can you believe that the Boeing 707 will be celebrating her 50Th Birthday? Where does time go? How can all those years flown by so quickly? I went to a planning meeting about this program on Monday. It was so interesting. The program is really more about how the 707 was developed than just how Pan Am flew it. It should be of special interest to  Boeing friends and pilot friends. There are going to be a lot of important Boeing people there.     It was an honor to have Joe Sutter, Brien Wygel and Peter Morton sign my beautiful large Pan Am Boeing 707 for me. Joe also signed my Pan Am 747-SP model.   The Museum's gift store sells Joe Sutter's book "747... Creating the World's First Jumbo Jet and other Adventures from Life in Aviation" as well as William (Bill) Cook's book "The Road to the 707". Both books are only available in paperback now.You can find Joe's book on-line in the hardback edition. The Airline Collectible show is always very interesting. They give away door prizes all day! Plus you can win tickets on Alaska Airlines. It's a lot of fun to see how many airline things people have for sale. And to think of all the stuff I threw away!!
Please share this ..I hope to see you at the Museum of Flight on October 11Th!

Car Rental in HNL ????

Hello fellow SeaBuds. It's been a while since I have said HI! to everyone. Hope your summer has been as good for you as myself and Anita. We just got back from a trip to Montana. Along the way we stopped at Vantage and I took advantage of a chance to ride the wild horses on the eastern side of the Columbia   SeaGeg 9-16-2008 12-41-44 PM

Other than the hike up the hill it was quite and experience. "I am sure you have all wanted to give it a try"smile_wink

Our next adventure is off to Honolulu for a couple of days which brings up my chance to ask any of you if you know of any good deals or can recommend a place to rent a car.CartoonCar If anyone has any advise please add to the comments of this post or shoot me an email.

Fantastic Eye Doctor

I have found the greatest eye Physician & Surgeon, Certified American Board of Ophthalmology. His name is James McMillan and is located at 10050 NE 10th Street, Suite B in Bellevue....within walking distance of Bellevue Square.

He takes ONE patient at a time and does all of the Chart Notes himself. He is on-time and takes all the time needed to address any issues or give you an eye exam.  His website is      www.medinaeye./com       And, I am finally getting a new updated pair of glasses!!!  I got his name from one of my massage clients who had eye surgery from him and raved about him.      Chris Stapley

Just a Msg

I wanted to send out a word about what a great time was had on Whidbey this yr. The spaghetti feed at Jo Ann Coulter's beautiful waterfront home was fabulous. The weather was perfect and the food was wonderful. JoAnn's guy, Bill, really did a great job feeding the troops. Thank you Bill!!  Next year Heike with the help of Barb Bennett, will be hosting the feed again. We had lot of new comers for the feast and it was so very good to see the new faces. This email is also a test for the new folks on the list. Hope you're getting it!!

The picnic at Villa Luna was wonderful. More new faces and lots of "old" ones were there for the day. Again the weather was perfect and the food was to die for. You can always count on FA's to have great eats.  I'd like to thank all of you who came to the functions and for your contributions to making it a great time. It's always great to see you and catch up. We also had the opportunity to do some great shopping - you can sure tell what is really missed in retirement!!

Also wanted to share that this wknd Jeannie McColman is doing the 3 day Susan G Komen walk, good luck Jeannie and I hope you don't get any blisters.  You Go Girl.

Did the Puyallup Fair with Terri Coyne on Monday and ran into Gail Feiss and her husband Norm, always good to see someone you know, and saw Annie Greig's needlepoint she got a 3rd place on - it was beautiful Annie!!  Terri and I made ourselves sick on the rides but an elephant ear helped get over that. She's gone back to PHX now so I'm just catching up on yard and housework I didn't do for the past 4 wks.

Norma Weathersby became a US Citizen last wk  - welcome to the US Norma!!!!

Hope all is well with all of you, we're having a beautiful Sept here in the NW. Take care everyone     Jane

911 In Memory

911Memory

In Memory of those lost on that terrible day 7 years ago.

In Memory of a time when the word "terrorist "was associated with something that happened in far away land with not much more than local consequences and a small news article.

In Memory of a wonderful life we all knew. Especially in the airline industry.

In Memory of those we have lost close to us.

In Memory of a life forever changed.

I am sure we all have or will reflect on these thoughts today. I know when I thought about posting this in SeaBudsChatter my mind just filled with how this effected the airline world we knew. And how much life throughout the world has changed. I thought how this was the catalyst that put our industry in a downward spiral of economic chaos, I am sure that would have happened sooner or later but it would have been much gentler. Who knows? Most of us retirees might still be jumping on an airplane today, doing our duties and looking forward to a trip full of new adventures and friends. Not that I am the least bit unhappy about my retired life. But maybe that was the only good thing that all started 7 years ago today.

Hoping and Praying for the world to somehow find peace. Tom
