Julie & Carol Triumph in the Seafair Marathon

Julie Carol
The Team

Today Julie Morrison and Carol Webster competed in the Seafair Marathon (actually, Half Marathon Walk) along with 5,000 other athletes. They started at Husky Stadium at 7 AM, crossed the 520 bridge and wound through Bellevue to the finish line, 13 tough, hot miles later.
Their months of grueling early morning training, rain or shine, paid off with a triumphant performance. They placed 143rd & 144th out of 470 women overall and 12th & 13th out of 57 women in their age group with a time of 3:28:38!!

Headed back to Ellensburg

It's way too hot for us in TX so we'll be heading back to E'burg on Friday. We were delayed this year because Ken had some work done on his heart the end of May and we wanted to make sure he was fully recovered before leaving. We used a company called Uship.com to take our tractor from TX to WA last year and it worked out great. Unfortunately, Ken decided he wanted it back in TX so we hauled it all the way back. Now we're stuck with an empty trailer to take back so we decided to try Uship to see if anyone needed anything shipped from TX to WA. Ken made some bids and found two people with loads which will certainly help with the cost of diesel. You might want to check out this company if you ever had a need to ship or haul something.

Scarlett had her second birthday on the 18th of June. She's quite the talker and can read books, sing songs, etc. Here's a picture of her with Jaime. What a difference a year can make!

Time for an update

Hello Everyone. I imagine you are getting tired of looking at the same old post as I am. Actually this posting helps remind me how hard it is to come up with a post when there is really nothing to say. It seems like I am always asking people to participate and post something, But we still get very little posting being done. Now I understand:)
As far as life here at the DeLeo home goes. Things are just plugging along. We have made a few trips to Spokane and one to the Bay area last week for a family wedding. I am anxiously waiting for summer and the lake to warm up so I can spend some serious time on the water.
I am also very curious to the response of the early out offered by United. And like everyone watching the fight for survival  of the aviation industry . Even though my United life is history. It still is close to my hart as it provided me with a great life and many wonderful lifelong friends.
If anyone has any ideas on how to improve either SeaBuds or SeaBudsChatter please pass them along.
