HAPPY NEW YEARS

A very Happy New Year to everyone and I hope your Christmas was a joyous one.

Getting back from our cruise on the 12th of Dec made the prep time for the holidays a bit short but made it through Xmas at least.

Our cruise was wonderful. We had warm balmy weather in the 70's for most of the crossing until the day before we landed in BOS when it hit 60 degrees. There were days when the ocean didn't even have any white caps. Only one day was a bit windy and choppy but you hardly noticed it onboard the ship.  We definitely had better weather than the Seattle, Portland area plus that big ice storm in the midwest.

We had a wonderful time in Barcelona. Coyne got this big swollen eye thing going for her, but it disappeared after a few days, then on our shore excursion in Funchal, Maderira, Portugal, a small island, she fell and tore her jeans on her knee and the skin underneath with blood running down (we got pics) then 2 days before arriving in BOS she got maybe the Noro Virus cause it was yukky and the morning we had to get off the ship and go for a cross country plane ride she could hardly get off the pot but we gave her a bunch of immodium and she finally got plugged up to make the trip home.

Cathie Bieri got pneumonia, almost, I lost my tourist bus pass and we had to walk a bit in Barcelona, but all in all I think we can say we had a great time.  Played lots and lots of cards and of course ate lots and lots also.

Hope everyone is doing good, knock on wood, I haven't heard of anything. Here's hoping we all have a great '08 and I look forward to seeing some of you in the new year.

I have my dtr and grandson staying with me until a home is found for them back in PA where Tom is already working at his new job and house hunting in his off hours.

CHEERS to you all     Jane
